Branding | Visual Identity
A complete rebrand for the Laboratory of Energy Management Technologies (LEMT) — including the creation of a new logo and a fully redesigned visual identity system.
The goal was to craft a unique, strong, and flexible identity that could adapt across the laboratory’s many communication platforms and applications. The new design bridges LEMT’s legacy and scientific solidity with a sense of renewal, movement, and expansion — symbolizing both the evolution of the laboratory and the energy that drives its innovation.


New Look, Same Brilliance
Inspired by the Batman Curve — a symbol of electrical engineering that metaphorically represents the Laboratory’s core values — and by the handwriting of its founder, Maurício Aredes, the new logo blends innovation and tradition to give LEMT a renewed visual identity.
Color
The new color palette preserves the brand’s signature blue, now refreshed with a contemporary touch, and introduces a complete, versatile range of complementary tones.
Every color was carefully tested to ensure accessibility for people with color blindness and to maintain strong visual contrast across all applications.

Typography
The primary typeface, DEGULAR, is simple yet full of character — subtle, but with a strong personality. It conveys solidity and confidence while maintaining a contemporary feel. It's family is diverse and versatile, allowing flexibility across different layouts.
The secondary typeface is a standard, widely available font, ensuring accessibility and consistency across platforms.
